Waste Reduction Program Manager
Jade Cambron

In April 2014, I relocated on a whim and am happily settling into life in the ‘Knife and my new job at Ecology North as Compost Program Specialist. I came here without a distinct plan, hoping to stay for a few months at least, and now secretly wonder if I’m a ‘Lifer’. Sait-on jamais!* Originally from Vancouver Island, I moved to Montréal in 2006 where I completed a B.A. Specialization in Anthropology with a minor in Diversity and the Contemporary World from Concordia University. While at university, I established a housing co-op and was involved with numerous social justice groups (including food security, social-economy based initiatives, and HIV education and prevention). My hobbies include rock-climbing, sporadically learning Spanish, and laughing at my own jokes. Does your backyard compost smell? Is it slow to decompose? I’d be happy to talk-out these common compost questions with you! *(French for ‘You never know!’)
