LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Ecology North’s main office is located in Sวซฬmba K’รจ, Denendeh (Yellowknife, Northwest Territories), on Chief Drygeese Territory, traditional territory of the Yellowknives Dene and homelands of the Indigenous Mรฉtis of the North Slave Mรฉtis Alliance.
Ecology North is a charitable, non-profit organization based in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada that was formed in 1971 to support sound environmental decision-making on an individual, community and regional level.
Ecology North’s environmental education programming focuses on five priority areas: climate action, water stewardship, waste reduction, biodiversity and food sovereignty. A common thread throughout all of the Ecology North programming is an emphasis on environmental, social, and community well-being.
Ecology North maintains collaborative partnerships with a number of other local community and educational organizations to promote public education, sustainable living and climate change adaptation and mitigation on environmental initiatives.

Ecology North will host our Annual General Meeting Wednesday, September 23, 2026 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Northern United Place Auditorium (one week later than originally advertised).
Weโre gathering the Ecology North community for food and fun. Families welcome! We look forward to connecting, sharing a meal, conversation, and updates about Ecology North’s projects.
